The FL-Inspector
The FL-Inspector is a wireless microwave moisture measurement system designed for use in concrete mixer trucks. It combines a microwave moisture sensor with a consistency measuring rod and transmits the recorded measurement data wirelessly to a touchpad.
This allows moisture, consistency, and other relevant process parameters to be monitored directly during the mixing process—even in applications where wired sensors cannot be used due to the rotating mixer drum.
How it Works
In addition to product moisture, the FL-Inspector records other important process parameters such as flow spread, concrete consistency, residual water content, product temperature, fill level, as well as the direction and speed of rotation of the mixer drum. This provides a comprehensive overview of the ongoing mixing process.
The recorded measurement values are transmitted wirelessly to the touchpad, where they are clearly displayed. Signal transmission is based on an industrial-grade wireless standard that ensures reliable data transfer over greater distances, even under demanding operating conditions.
The transmitter unit is powered by a rechargeable battery. If required, the operating time can be extended with an additional battery pack. If the transmitter moves outside the reception range or the mixer drum is stationary, the sensor and transmitter automatically switch to an energy-saving mode.
The sensor, consistency measuring rod, and transmitter unit can be installed directly inside the vehicle’s mixer drum with relatively little effort.
